Happy New Year everyone! And thanks for reading this and taking an interest in Copenhagen Collaboration Looking back, 2012 was a special year for us. After a brief ask-around amongst the band it was decided to play the gig on acoustic instruments, which meant that I had to dig out the old married couple... my banjo and my dobro. It´s a great marriage, but a quite ordinary one compared to the exciting and never-dull threesome of Freddys violin, Lines cello and Torleiks double bass.
Getting all inspired by the ‘Small guide to crappy keyboards’ by Jakob, Hellraiserten: one of the more equipment enthusiastic elements in the Monkey Cup Dress band is the ukulele. This next 'Small Guide' introduces the 'lele'-instruments - from less crappy to superb.
Not looking of much the buildings were left empty and a local guy called SvenEvig who randomly passed by asked the owner for permission to make cultural arrangements in the ramshackle old buildings.. Surprisingly the owner gave permission and was even fond of the idea of making use of the location - aaaand Great parties went off!
